Oh, you know

This is my husband, isn't he the cutest?

He is very focused on the computer screen. This was taken yesterday when he was getting ready to apply for jobs. Both of us have been spending quite a bit of time doing that lately.

And this is my huband chugging Mountain Dew which I think is quite rude since I LOVE Mountain Dew and I can't drink it since I gave up pop for lent.

I did, however, cave on my birthday and have some.

Waaah? I call this the Duane face.

In other news, I applied to 5 jobs so far today, which makes 20 so far in all. When I finally went outside to see the light of day, these geese were just hanging around.

They weren't scared of me at all, they were just enjoying themselves. It was pretty cool. I said, "Hi geese!" No, I didn't, but I really wish I did. That would have been a nice way to welcome them to the neighborhood.

Salzitos

I had a great time with this bunch over the weekend.

I took lots of pictures of little Willow. He is a little ham.

He cracked me up because he actually liked posing for the camera...

....and would say "I wan see, I wan see" while I was taking pics.

Then he would make a game of it and run away from me.

He picked this outfit out himself. :)

On Saturday we puff painted these t-shirts.

Charlie was so into it. He kept checking his shirt every 20 minutes or so to see if it would dry. Then I moved the shirts outside so he would just forget about them for a while....but then he would just ask, "Can I go outside and check on the shirts?"

It was pretty darn cute the next day when he woke up to get dressed and put that shirt on right away!

Spring is in the Air!

Matthew, being the sweet sweet husband that he is, bought me a new camera lens for my birthday. I decided to experiment with it today and take some pictures of the signs that spring is coming.

First you see that the trees are starting to bud.

Soon these red buds will turn to pretty red flowers and then will fall away to all green leaves onces summer comes. Don't worry, I will probably blog about it and share pictures.

Where there was once a heap of snow seen here.

You can now see grass.

And some of that grass is actually turning green!

And last but not least, bears are coming out of hibernation.

This is a cute although somewhat irritable one!

5 Years Gone By

Earlier today, I went to flickr.com just to see what it would take to get an account there. I logged in with my ancient yahoo ID and KAZAM! a bunch of old pictures from the end of senior year in college showed up! Apparently my yahoo photos automatically moved to flickr without me knowing it. It hit me that many of the pictures were from exactly 5 years ago. We were celebrating St. Patty's day and my birthday. We had a little improptu dance party. I really miss dance parties. I find it to be a very happy coincidence that the people I was celebrating just before my birthday 5 years ago were the same people I was celebrating with just before my birthday, last night.

The Goon is Growing!

I saw Tara yesterday.

Her belly is growing...

She says the Goon is doing gymnastics inside of her.

She agreed to go outside and let me take picture of her.

Someone has to document the growing belly!

It was only minimally awkward to be outside taking pictures while people were walking home from work.

I'm not sure if it got more or less awkward when Tara started singing..."I feel weird but you are weirder because this was your ideaaaaaa."

Whatever dude.

Then we went in and the Diets made spicy veggie shrimp stir fry.

It was spicy.

Adam's forhead should have been an indication of the spiciness that would commence.

hehe....jk....is that mean to put on the blog? It was spicy but also DELCIOUS!

It was a fun night, I am glad there was a vote and we were allowed to be a part of the game night. However, Matthew is apparently sick this morning. I think he had 4 too many sprites.
