Birthday

Some random pics from my birthday yesterday....

...it was a nice relaxing day. I got to sleep in with Matthew before he went to work for a few hours. Angie and Andrew were home and we all gathered for a nice lunch that my mom prepared. She made chicken salad sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, lemon water, and also bought rye bread for me cuz I love it. She made Crazy cake for dessert - delish! Her and dad gave me some house decorations as a gift. That evening Matthew and I went to Potbelly and split a sandwich (still full from lunch), browsed Anthropologie (my favorite store) but I decided not to buy anything, and then we went to see the King's Speech which was good. He got me a gift card to get a mani and pedi and said it was something I should do in May to make me feel good and be ready for the baby. I look forward to that! Over the year, I got about 16 of my 27 things done on my list for 27. This morning I made my list for 28....

Lately...

...Here is a bit of what has been going on lately....

I continue to be pregnant and have been really enjoying it lately. Everything has become much more real now that I am in the third trimester. Mushy moves around quite a bit and I love it and it makes me think about the real baby that is growing inside of me and will come out and live with us in just a few months.

As you can see, my belly is large, I have my 28 week appointment in two days and am hoping everything goes well again.

Matthew and I are still living with my rents at the moment but will be moving out in just about a month. I am most looking forward to the arrival of Mushy but moving into our own place again comes in second. THird would be the end of the winter. Winter, please please please go away and leave us alone and let us enjoy some sun and grass!

Other than being pregnant, eating a lot, working, and being home here in NP, I have been working on this quilt with my mother. THis quilt tops the list of things that I did not think would be as big of a project as it is.

I have a goal that mom and I (and ANGIE!) have the top stitched by the end of March.

Other than that I have been thinking a lot about Mushy and preparing for the little bug's arrival. Here are some projects I have been working on for the nursery...

THe other big thing that is coming up which really snuck up on me is my birthday in just under a week. I honestly kind of forgot about it this year until now. Right now I really don't care about it and don't want to make a big deal out of it but I know next Saturday I will want to do something special. I hope Matthew plans a dinner at least or something. :) And a gift and some cake would be nice. :) We will see what happens! Ick, 28, 20s have been going by quite fast. 5 years ago I was about to graduate college while dating Matthew and now we are married and about to have a baby. It has been a good 5 years, and a good 28 years too!
