Cora 8 months

Cora Bora is 8 months old and I truly can't believe it.  To me she is still an itty bitty baby girl.  I think I have a hard time believing she is that old because she is so petite and because she is still getting me up on a nightly basis!  Good thing I love her so!

At 8 months....

Cora is just getting over some sort of cold or ailment.  A week or more ago she had the sneezes and sniffles and as those went away she had a fever for a string of days but with no other symptoms except for looser stools then normal.  I think she may be getting back to normal but she still isn't acting like herself.  She is needing to be held and loved on a little extra.

She really wishes she could play with paper at all times but she is too quick to try to eat it.  Some of her favorite things to play with are laminated paper, ribbons, strings, hair, or anything that her sister might be tempted to steal away.

She has been less mobile since she has been under the weather but she was spending a lot of time rocking on all fours for a while there.

Elsie and I have a thing we do where we both want to give Cora lots of snuggles.  I will hug and kiss Cora a lot and then when Elsie tries to get in on the action I say, "No, my baby Cora!" and she says, "My baby Cora!" back to me.  She sure gets lots of love!

Cora is quick to share smiles with others when they smile at her.  If I am holding her, she usually plays coy when others start to talk to her.  She will smile but then turn in and bury her face in my shirt.

She has the cutest little frizzy fly away hair these days.

I'm at a point where I am worrying about how much she is eating these days.  She breastfeeds 4 times during the day and then once during the night.  However, she has regressed to sometimes eating twice during the night and it makes me worry she isn't getting enough milk.  She was at a point where she was eating 2-3 ounces of solid food, 3 times a day.  Now we are lucky if she eats .5-1 ounce of solids.  Maybe this is teething behavior?  I worry that she is thinning out...

One thing that has definately improved over the last month are her naps.  She now takes 3 good and predictbable naps.  They are usually about 9-10:30, 12:30-2:30, and 4:30-5:30, give or take time from each.

Elsie is one of her favorite people and also the one she could use a break from the most.  Sometimes Elsie will come and steal a toy and Cora will scream immediately.  Other times Elsie will talk to or tickle her and Cora just laughs and laughs.

I've noticed Cora starting to say more things but her "talking" is pretty infrequent overall. She still says "ba ba ba" the most...

Some pics from the 4th of July...

The cousins together.   Since these were taken, another little girl was born!  Now we just need a pic of all 4 girls together since the girls have another sweet neice named Vani Marlene Wolf!

and a bit more cuteness from the photos taken on her 8 month birthday...
