At the end of November...

At the end of November we had all thought a baby would arrive to join our family.  So far that is not the case but since there is a week left, we shall see what happens.  A while back, Matthew and I both picked this weekend as a great time for the baby to come....jinx!  There is no sign of baby coming right around the corner so we head into another week and have to wait patiently.  As long as we all stay healthy and safe, it's all good.  Another thing that keeps me happy is that maybe this means that I will have some more time to kick this nasty cold that I have been having over the last week.  So instead of welcoming a new baby into the family, here is how we've spent our weekend.

This morning Elsie and I went around the house putting baby things back together with clean padding....swing, chair, bassinet, etc.  Then when Matthew and Cora left to go shopping, we started the process of decorating the tree by putting up lights and ribbon.  Matthew took this picture of me, 39 weeks pregnant, in front of the tree just a moment ago...

Last night we made Christmas cookies!  Since we are pretty much ready for the babe, we've turned our attention to Christmas preparation early.  :)

Yesterday we met up with Mom and Dad and the Frykmans to get our tree....

The girls had a great time running around the tree lot.  Once we'd found our tree, Matthew layed down to start cutting it, Elsie layed down to watch, and Cora layed down randomly just because everyone else was.

Looking forward to the coming weeks and some fun events.....Thanksgiving, Cora's birthday....and when will Baby 3 arrive?  Before, after, or in between those events?  Time will tell and I am anxious to know!

Over the last month....

Another phone dump of random pictures....
Matthew and I going out for our 7 year anniversary...
We went to Tilia's in Minneapolis. We had some delicous meatballs for an appetizer and then some small portioned dinners that made us laugh....pork and the large serving of orange pasta but it was a fun place to try for once.

The annual trip to coldstone was as delicous as ever.
Elsie coming in for cuddles...
After the Ecfe Halloween party, Elsie abandoned her duck costume and insisted on being a princess. Elsie all set for the preschool Halloween party....
I was happy to get a chance to be with her at school that day....
Trick or treating to grandma and grandpa's....
Throughout the week following Halloween Elsie insisted on continuing to dress like a princess.
