I am 24 weeks today! I feel more like 30 for many reasons. I am large, have doubled the amount of varicose veins I had previously, and am nesting like crazy. I've gotten all of my art and sensory projects planned for the fall and winter, planned out my educational circle time and play activities, and gotten my list of new materials needed for daycare. I've started re-organizing my cabinets, closets, and storage spaces and am anxious to get that done as well as to re-vamp the basement before daycare starts in full swing again in September. I'm already feeling ready to start making freezer meals and to buy Christmas gifts but know those have to wait a bit still. Our other big project before the baby comes will be to move Elsie and Cora into the same room and possibly redecorate a nursery.
Here is what the baby is looking like at 24 weeks....
When I was pregnant with Elsie, I refered to her as "Mushy". Cora was "Little bug" and "My little girl" after I found out she was a girl. This baby hasn't caught a nickname and I always refer to it as "the baby". I kind of like it that way though because this will always be the baby (we are 99% certain this is our last one).
Our ultrasound was about a month ago already. The big question at that point is always whether it is a boy or a girl. As I've said before, my gut reaction was that this baby was a boy, then I was about 50/50 and was swayed either way depending on the day and how I was feeling. Now I am 95% certain that it is a girl. Although I was dying to know what it was, Matthew didn't want to know at all...so I let him have his way knowing it wouldn't be exciting to share the news with someone who wasn't excited. I still did my research ahead of time and watched very carefully as the tech moved around. There was a point when she was taking pictures between the legs and I counted the 3 lines which means it is a girl. However, I am not a professional and could be wrong. We shall see! Either way, I am just so so excited to meet this little baby. I think it is so fun that we have created another human being for our family with their own personality and quirks to share! Some mugs of my sweet baby....

I LOVE lil nut, so yes this little being does of a nickname it is little nut and all the girls call baby that. I can't wait to meet MY future niece or nephew!!!
